Last week I had a lactation consultant come out to the house to watch me nurse and she seemed to think that Lauren might be tongue tied. It simply means that her tongue has restricted movement from a small flap of tissue under her tongue. It can cause her not to latch on well and me alot of pain while nursing. We went to see an Ear/Nose/Throat doctoe today to have it looked at. They did a simple procedure that clips the tissue and allows her tongue to have a full range of motion. She was a real trooper and seems to be doing well. They like to do it when they are really little so that there is less pain and memory of the procedure! While we were there they weighed her and she weighed in at 9 lbs and 3 oz. (minus the 3 oz. bottle she just drank) that is 9 lbs! She is growing so fast!
Bath time!
